About the author
Tove Jansson (Author)
Born in Helsinki, Finland in 1914 to a father of a sculptor and mother of a painter and graphic designer. He started painting for magazines at the age of 15, and studied art in Helsinki, Stockholm, Sweden, and Paris, France. In 1945, he published 『The Moomin Family and the Great Flood』 and began to release the 'Moomin' series in earnest.
In 1966 he was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Prize, and in 1976 he received several prestigious art awards, including the Order of the Lion of Finland. Inspired by his lifelong companion, Tuliki Pietile, he left outstanding achievements not only in children's literature, but also in fiction and art. He died in 2001 in Helsinki, his hometown, at the age of 86.

Ahn Mi-ran (Translator)
After graduating from the Department of Korean Language Education at Seoul National University, he received his Ph.D. from the Department of Linguistics at Kiel University, Germany. He taught at the University of Rome in La Sapienza, Italy, and is currently working at the German Cultural Center in Korea.
Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House", Lotte Hamer and Søren Hamer's Hidden Beast and "Everything Has a Price", Knut Hamsun's "Benefits of the Land", Glenn Linkedbed's "Don't mourn for long" ’ and several other Scandinavian books have been translated into Korean.
