book introduction
Literacy? Now we need literacy to read context and design the world.Since EBS <Your Literacy> was broadcast, content related to "literacy" has been pouring out. However, the current 'literacy' is known as the ability to study well and the essential concept of children's education.Professor Cho Byung-young, a world-renowned authority in this field, who taught "Your Literacy" at EBS Class e and became the mainstay of the literary power craze, says. It's an era where you have to say "literacy," not "literacy."
Literacy is a concept that encompasses the ability to read and write letters. It can be said that it is a process of understanding the world and adding my experience and knowledge to the text I saw and read to create my own new knowledge.
Literacy is a 'tool of learning' that must be used for individual growth and success because we acquire information and knowledge by reading, writing, and thinking. In addition, literacy is a social concept and a 'historical tool' as we develop our community by reading, thinking, and sharing. In fact, numerous changes and advances in human civilization have been realized through the experience of reading and thinking together, and on the contrary, they have undergone countless trials and errors and regressions of the times by misreading and writing badly. It is no exaggeration to say that how literacy is used has created the trend of the times.
Gone are the days when you can read a given short article and achieve something. In an era where fake news that is more real than real is reproduced and distributed, we need to be human beings who read the context of the world more precisely with literacy and design a better society, rational judgment and inclusive communication.Experience Reading Human Literacy is full of advice that helps us become "reading human beings" properly and create a better life and an ideal society.

Recommendation
Literacy should be the foundation of all management.Because the constant generation of ideas that make the company run and the drive to put them into action comes only when you see, hear, read, and understand a lot of things. Therefore, if you want to do your job properly, you need to know the importance of literacy and develop literacy skills through self-reflection and training. This is a book that will lead the process successfully.Choi Chang-won (Vice Chairman, CEO of SK Discovery)
To read is to ripen, to mature. So I had to read books and writings diligently since ancient times. Now, the media and the digital world have been added to it.But what I have to read is improving, but my reading ability is decreasing. This book is the guidebook of the top expert customized for this.If you are interested in literacy and its education, I strongly recommend reading this book first.Jeong Jae-chan (University Professor)
We read the same article, but understand it differently, antagonize it, and fail to communicate. This is because not everyone has 'literacy' just because they can read letters. With this awareness of the problem, a program called "Your Literacy" began, and I met Professor Cho Byung-young, who is running as a leader in literacy as an advisory professor for the program.Literacy is not just reading ability, he says, but the process of getting to know me.I hope you can find your own way through this book to see why we need literacy and how we should do it.Kim Hae-yeon (TV writer of <EBS Your Literacy>)
As remote classes become commonplace due to COVID-19, students are being exposed to digital media a lot.In this situation, interest in education that develops students' ability to read, write, and think properly is increasing.Literacy is emerging as an important concept for future education. However, literacy has often been discussed at the level of improving entrance exams and curriculum grades.Reading this book confirms that literacy is really important in our education and in our students' lives. This book will be a great guide for teachers and parents interested in literacy.Cho Young-soo (Korean teacher at Changmun Girls' Middle School)
Literacy refers to the ability to read and understand the world through writing, and to create your own new knowledge by adding experience and knowledge to the text.Through the latest research, this book explores the relationship between literacy and society as a whole.Recommended Books for the Year of Youth Books in 2022
